Why does the same operation cost different amounts for different people?
The extent of the incision, the materials used, the type of anaesthesia and any previous surgery all change the surgical plan itself. When the plan changes, the time and materials required change with it. That is why we cannot quote a figure before examining your condition.
Is the amount listed on the website what I will pay?
The published figures are for reference; the actual cost is set after your examination. It can change with your condition, the extent of the procedure and the materials used. We explain the cost together with the surgical plan once you have been seen.
Can I know the exact price before coming in?
If we quote a figure without seeing your condition, that number changes at the consultation, so we give it together with the surgical plan after an examination. You are welcome to ask by phone about which items are involved. The exact amount is confirmed after an in-person visit.
Are there costs on top of the surgery fee?
The published figures may not include anaesthesia, medication or inpatient charges. We tell you which items apply when the surgical plan is decided. Nothing outside the breakdown we have explained is charged separately.
Does the listed price include VAT?
VAT may be added to the published figures. Anaesthesia and medication can also be billed separately from the surgery fee. The final amount is set out item by item after your examination.
How is national insurance coverage distinguished from non-covered care?
Items covered by national health insurance are explained separately, and whether coverage applies is confirmed at your visit. The fees listed on this page are non-covered treatment costs. Even surgery on the same area can fall under a different category depending on its purpose and diagnosis.
Why are non-covered treatment fees published on the website?
We publish them in accordance with Article 42-2 of the Enforcement Rule of the Medical Service Act. The same information is posted inside the clinic and is also available by phone. When items change, the page is updated and shown with the date of the latest revision.

Is revision surgery priced differently from a first operation?
Because a previous operation changes the surgical plan, the basis for the cost can differ as well. Depending on how the earlier surgery was done and what material is in place, additional steps may be required. If you have records of your previous surgery, bringing them to the consultation helps.
Does the type of anaesthesia change the cost?
Yes, the anaesthesia method is one of the factors that changes the cost. Which type is needed depends on the extent of surgery and your condition. Anaesthesia may be billed separately from the surgery fee, so we explain it when the plan is set.
Do the materials used affect the cost?
Yes, materials such as implants or cartilage change the cost. Which material suits you is decided by your condition and the surgical plan. We explain the choice of material and the cost that goes with it at your visit.
