Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of place is the surgery review board?

It is a space that collects posts written directly by patients who had surgery at SM Plastic Surgery. You can view them by surgical area such as eye surgery, rhinoplasty, and breast surgery. The clinic does not write them on a patient's behalf or dictate their content.

Why is the body text not visible in the list?

Because these are patients' treatment testimonials, they are not disclosed to the general public as they are. This follows Article 56 of the Medical Service Act, and the body text can be viewed after member login. In the list, you can check the surgical area and the title.

Will the results shown in a review be the same for me?

Even with the same surgery, results and recovery vary from person to person. A post on the board is only one individual's record and is not material that promises results. The method suited to you is determined through consultation and examination.

Does the clinic select only favorable content?

Posts are not selected based on whether the content is positive or negative. What is checked is whether there are expressions that conflict with the Medical Service Act, whether personal information is included, and whether the content is promotional. All other posts are published exactly as written.

Who can write a review?

Website members who have received treatment at SM Plastic Surgery can write one themselves. After logging in, press Write a Review. Membership registration can be completed on the login screen as well.

Will a review appear on the board as soon as it is posted?

Posts are published after a review process. For that reason, they may not appear in the list immediately after being submitted. We appreciate your understanding that publication may take a little time.

Can I browse by surgical area?

The tabs at the top let you browse by eye surgery, eye revision surgery, rhinoplasty, nose revision surgery, breast surgery, anti-aging surgery, body contouring, lifting, and petit procedures and skin. The All tab shows every area together. If a post covers several areas, it appears under all of the matching tabs.

Can I search for the content I want?

Enter a word in the search box and confirm with the button or the Enter key to find matching posts. You can choose the search scope from All, Title, or Content. Using it together with the surgical area tabs narrows the range.

On what basis are photos posted?

Only photos attached directly by the author are posted. We ask that photos of other people or photos containing personal information not be uploaded. Depending on the shooting conditions and your screen, there may be differences from the actual appearance.

Why is no date shown on the review card?

The list is designed to show only the thumbnail, surgical area, nickname, and title. Ordering posts by date could cause misunderstanding, so it was not included as a clinic policy. Posts are ordered from the most recent.

What are the posts that scroll automatically at the top?

At the top there is a slide where some posts scroll automatically, and the list below shows all of them. Only posts that have been reviewed and published appear there. If there are no such posts, that area does not appear at all.

Can I edit a post I wrote later on?

You can edit posts you wrote yourself using the edit button on the detail screen. You cannot edit posts written by others. An edited post goes through the review process again before publication, so it may not appear in the list for a while.

Do I need to register as a member to read reviews?

Login is required to view the body text. If you register on the login screen, you will return to where you were. The list and titles can be viewed without logging in.

Are there areas with no posts yet?

If there are no posts for that area, a notice appears on that tab. The absence of posts does not mean that the surgery is not performed. Please check any questions during consultation.

Are costs written in the reviews?

Costs vary depending on your condition and the scope of surgery, so they cannot be judged from posts on the board. Non-covered treatment costs can be checked on the price information page. Exact costs are provided during an in-person consultation.

Can reading reviews take the place of a consultation?

Because they are other people's records, they do not take the place of an individual diagnosis. Which method suits you must be confirmed through an in-person consultation and examination. You can book a consultation by phone at +82-2-537-3707 or through the KakaoTalk channel.

Where should I go to ask about the board?

Please contact us by phone at +82-2-537-3707 or through the KakaoTalk channel. Consultation hours and closed days can be checked on the consultation hours information. The clinic is about a 2~3 minute walk from Exit 10 of Gangnam Station.
