Besides the non-incisional and incisional methods, there is also the natural adhesion method. Since the right method depends on eyelid thickness, the degree of skin sagging, and the strength of the muscle that opens the eye, you don't need to decide between the two in advance. Lower-lid fat repositioning moves the bulging fat under the eyes into the hollow areas to create a smooth surface, while lower blepharoplasty trims both the sagging skin and muscle. The transconjunctival, non-incisional approach is suitable for those in their 20s-30s with good skin elasticity, and when skin sagging is also present, lower blepharoplasty is considered instead. SM Plastic Surgery performs four methods — the Hamra technique, the transconjunctival Hamra technique, lower blepharoplasty, and lower-lid fat repositioning — and determines the suitable method during the consultation.

We advise about 3 days to return to daily life after lower-lid fat repositioning, and about 7 days after lower blepharoplasty. However, recovery speed varies depending on the extent of surgery and individual condition, so the exact schedule is provided during the consultation and follow-up visits.

SM Plastic Surgery currently uses two types of implants: Motiva and Mentor. Only the first-generation Motiva is imported in Korea, and for Mentor, the Classic and Xtra lines are used. The size and type of implant are decided together during the consultation after diagnosing the condition of the breast tissue.

For breast surgery, the first checkup is conducted on day 30 after surgery, followed by regular checkups at 3, 6, and 12 months to monitor progress. Depending on the extent of surgery, we use either sedation anesthesia or general anesthesia. Sedation anesthesia is directly managed by Director Lee Muyoung, and for general anesthesia, an anesthesiologist is in charge.
