Revision eye surgery (Revision Blepharoplasty)
Where the result of earlier eye surgery is unsatisfying, the line is refined toward something natural after detailed assessment.
Revision eye surgery, In short?
Double-eyelid revision addresses asymmetry, loosening, scarring and dissatisfaction with the shape left by earlier surgery, through careful assessment and tailored surgery. Each eye is assessed across seven points, and surgery is fitted to eight distinct cases.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can eye revision be done?
Revision is usually possible after 6 months to 1 year. Where the early result is unsatisfactory, however, revision can sometimes be done within 2 weeks, before the scar hardens.
Is revision riskier than the first operation?
With tissue adhesion and scarring, the difficulty is real. Detailed assessment and methods that limit tissue damage reduce the burden, and whether surgery is possible is judged after assessment.
Can a thick crease also be corrected by revision?
Yes. The height of the crease is lowered by revising the line downward, removing fat, or through ptosis correction.
After revision, does swelling last longer?
Because adhesion has to be released, swelling can be greater than after the first operation. How quickly it subsides varies considerably with the eye and the extent of surgery, so we advise at consultation and follow-up.
Can the crease come undone again?
At SM Plastic Surgery, firm five-point fixation of the crease keeps the risk of loosening down.
